By the end of this book, my goals weren't only possible but I was absolutely driven and understood that pursuing my goal to move and work aboard was the only thing I wanted to do and that I MUST DO IT!

I've traveled to a few countries already, but of course there was always a thought in my mind that the other countries were easy but that my next move or goal is different and will be harder. So even for an experienced traveler as myself, I needed this book to kick me in the butt and remind me of the things I needed to do to be successful in my next endeavor.
This book is a must read. It offers invaluable advice. I am sure that this is the kind of book that I will repeatedly read every time I am faced with a new challenge because it absolutely reinforces the right attitude in moving forward.

This book brings up a new reality most people are still ignoring. The world is one and we are connected. Cultural intelligence is the most appreciated skill in the global job market. The author share her experiences as a true global citizen, besides bringing up and discussing a survey with more than 400 immigrants and expats from more than 80 countries around the world. If you are in high school or college, this is a must read! Be real and be global.
Living and leading in a multicultural environment some insight on how real people lives this reality is very helpful.
It's pleasant to read the experiences Adriana brings up, reinforcing what does a global mindset means

The good about the book it's not those "think positive and smile" but something that talks about real people, real challenges, real attitudes in a challenging beautiful multicultural universe that we most of the time refuse to see.
This book is not aimed to leaders at all, its for all humans that wants and deserve to develop themselves.

This is a great book for anyone who wants to be more connected with the world, but does not know where to begin. The author speaks in a clear and friendly manner about easy ways we can learn more about cultures while traveling, and also opportunities at home! It had great tips and insights of how to make the most of your travels, as in one example, by arriving a bit early to a tourist destination, she was able to connect to the local community and get a real insight of the culture of its people. Will recommend this book to anyone who is interested in being more culturally aware.
I'm an anthropologist with over 20 years of experience living and traveling outside my own home culture. Adriana has written the most sensible and sensitive guide to travel and living abroad that I've ever read. It is equally an essential book for anyone who is eagerly considering travel to experience another culture, as well as anyone who is uncomfortable with the idea of traveling to another culture, but finds they are being sent. The tips and dos and don'ts are priceless and the stories are inspiring.
This book should become a must-read for anthropology majors before they make their first forays abroad. I would also see military units, missionary organizations and corporations buying the book and distributing it to their personnel before they undertake an assignment in another culture. It would really cut down on cultural conflict and misunderstanding. Displaced persons are not in a position to buy this book and those who find refugees in their midst may not be aware of the publication, but that would surely be two needy populations where this exceedingly simple and direct guide would be extremely helpful to build bridges and create friendships.
